Our Affiliation
Island Baptist Church is part of Converge Worldwide (the Baptist General Conference), a voluntary association of over 900 churches in the U.S., headquartered in Orlando, FL, with ministries and churches around the world. Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota, and Bethel Seminary are a reflection of our denomination’s strong commitment to preparing men and women for service for Christ in this world. The regional part of our denomination is Converge Northwest, headquartered in Seattle, and includes member churches in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alaska. By partnering together we are better able to share Christ through church planting and missions, and enjoy the ministry of Lake Retreat Camp and Conference Center, just 35 miles southwest of Seattle.
